# Smart home IoT backend

> Uttam Gelot built the backend of a smart home product from zero. It uses TypeScript, AdonisJS, MySQL and AWS. A custom MQTT broker sends messages between the server and the home devices. An admin panel lets the team manage the devices. He also led the main design and product decisions.
