Work

Uttam Gelot built backend systems for e-commerce logistics, car sales and loans, smart homes and digital art. Each page below tells what the system does, what he did, and what changed. The warehouse integration case shows how he cut query time from 4 seconds to 50 milliseconds.

Each page tells what the problem was, what I did, and what changed.

Warehouse integration platform

Uttam Gelot works on a platform that connects online shops to warehouse partners. The shops include Shopify, WooCommerce and Billbee. The warehouses include DHL and JTL. He brought DHL onto the platform, moved the Shopify connector from REST to GraphQL, and cut query time from 4 seconds to 50 milliseconds.

Stack: NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS, Microservices

Automotive marketplace and finance platform

Uttam Gelot designed and built the backend of an automotive marketplace from zero. The platform handles vehicle sales, loan applications and expert advice. He used Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, TypeORM and Redis. He added payments with Stripe and messages with Twilio, and he ran the CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins.

Smart home IoT backend

Uttam Gelot built the backend of a smart home product from zero. It uses TypeScript, AdonisJS, MySQL and AWS. A custom MQTT broker sends messages between the server and the home devices. An admin panel lets the team manage the devices. He also led the main design and product decisions.

3D virtual art museum

Uttam Gelot built a 3D virtual art museum from zero. Visitors walk through the galleries in the browser and look at digital art made in Blender. He connected the museum to a Webflow shop, so visitors can buy the art. The 3D files load from Google Cloud Storage.

Stack: Three.js, Webflow, JavaScript
